My little expository gallery is situated in the historical center of Cattolica, at the entrace of our family house constructed in the 20's by my great grandparents.
Historically this place was one of the nucleus of first stores - emporium of the city ,(opened in 1909 by my great grandmother Elisa Molari and my great grandfather Giuseppe Pritelli), and was used as a warehouse to store and weigh the wool for mattresses.
In a short time everything changed, the old fabrics seemed almost out-of-date, everyone looked for practicality
and rapidity and so it seemed there was no need for the old way of business "da corredo".
A sudden intuition, like love at first sight, pleasantly swept away... and so I began to assemble together various pieces of historical fabrics (from 19th Century to the first half of the 20th Century,
predominantly from French and European origin) together with old lace, passementerie, embroidery...
Slowly my feelings for sewing, textures and colours awakened and after many years of experience in the family business it was at last my moment to create and desing with these materials something of my own, something special.
Cushions, tableclothes, quilted blankets all using patchwork as tecnique and then I began to start selling my creations.These unique pieces have the ability to bring forth in our homes that inimitable touch that are not only full of
the past but together with the freshness and originality of their new appearance today.
Following this ideal thread, I also began to look for period objects, such as porcelain, glass, frames, old wallpapers, that have the characteristics to "re-establish" whit my textile creations, producing atmospheres full of colours, textures and decor.
I grew up working together in this old family activity with my grandmother Libera Ubalducci and my mother Bianca Maria.
I hope you find here something that will capture your immagination, and above all that you enjoy and have fun with my creations because for me one of the biggest joys in life is to share with others, ones real, true passion!
